I have design learning environments, learning materials, and performance support applications for the past nine years. I am also a PhD candidate in BYU’s Instructional Psychology and Technology program. My areas of inquiry and interest include learning analytics, epistemology, philosophy of science, psychometrics, communities of practice, socio-cultural activity theory, strategy as practice, and organizational analysis. I grew up on the water in Western Michigan and currently reside in Salt Lake City, UT with my lovely wife, awesome twins (three-year-old boy and girl). and adorable baby girl. Occasionally, I have been known to write a few songs for voice and the guitar when I find a moment here and there, usually late at night.
